Tribal Development Program
In collaboration with the Directorate of Tribal Affairs, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, SFD&T organized a series of 20 awareness camps to sensitize tribal communities about the existing government schemes aimed at improving their socio-economic conditions. The focus was on enhancing access to government schemes such as education, healthcare, livelihood support, and financial inclusion for tribal communities.
These camps facilitated better community participation, empowering tribal members with knowledge on how to avail benefits from government initiatives. Information was shared on welfare programs like the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), and skill development opportunities, ensuring that tribal communities could effectively engage with and benefit from these schemes.
The initiative also helped strengthen community participation, enabling tribal leaders and members to actively contribute to decision-making processes and seek support from relevant authorities for addressing their concerns. This awareness drive has significantly improved the reach and utilization of government services, fostering inclusive development in tribal areas.
